"Mesmerized," is the title of the "Crazy Love" fanlisting, because of the hypnotizing effects in this episode. In it, Nick relates to a serial killer in his needs to have physical contact and possess another person totally. Nick talks to a psychiatrist, Dr. Shawna Welsh, about the killer and how his mind works. Nick arrests the killer quickly, but discovers there is something more to these murders. When talking to the psychiatrist about the killing mind, old needs awaken in Nick. He becomes out of control with the need to share physical contact in a vampiric way, so he calls on Janette, his eternal love and companion. As Nick drinks from Janette, they are engaged in the intimate contact of sharing blood. Later, he unnecessarily apologizes to her, but she quickly shows him how much she enjoyed it, asking him to spend the day with her. Nick feels a need to control his vampire nature though and leaves abruptly, saying he must work. After solving the case and discovering that the shrink was as crazy as the killer, Nick meets Janette again by the lake. This time he gives her a longing look of love, as she does him, and they kiss passionately ending the episode. Even after 800 years, both vampires are still hypnotized by each other's love...
In the flashbacks, Italy - 1530-1570's, Nick engages in secret vampire passions with a new lover, Amalia, a merchant's daughter. She comes to Nick every night, anxious for him to make love to her and feed. Amalia's feelings for Nick are so strong, she does not care if he even drains her. Nick enjoys possessing her and engaging in these passions, but knows that this kind of relationship will soon lead in her death. He is tempted to leave Amalia, but with persuasion from LaCroix, Nick feels a need to possess her totally and can not bear to part from her. Finally, when he takes too much, Amalia dies happily in Nick's arms...
Favorite Quote: Nick: "I have to control it." Janette: [leans her neck towards him] "Not with me...ever."
About The Fanlisting
What is a fanlisting? Well a fanlisting is a place for fans who come together and build a list of other fans with the same interest, this one being the "Crazy Love" episode of course. The Fanlistings is the brilliant idea of Janine, who originally created the Buffy fanlisting and thought it would be interesting to find out where all the "Buffy" fans were from. Now, there are thousands of fanlistings for actors, tv shows, movies, books, and practically anything you can imagine. However, for each topic, there can be only one fanlisting.
Is this the Official Crazy Love fanlisting? Yes - in a matter of words. It is not approved by anyone to do with Forever Knight, but it is approved by Janine. If you see another Crazy Love fanlisting, report it to Janine.
